How to jailbreak the Apple TV (untethered) running any iOS:
Step 1: Connect your Apple TV to your computer using a USB micro cable (. You should view a flashing white LED light about the front in the Apple TV. No power cord is necessary. If iTunes pops up, just close it.
Step 2: Download the latest version of Gr33nFire. here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/2sp46cai7u379jn/gr33nFire_-_apple_tv_jailbreak.rar .
Step 3: Extract the archive file.
Step 4: Go to the extracted folder, and open Gr33nFire.
Step 5: Once Gr33nFire is opened, click start.
Step 6: Select the Add-ons you wish to install in your device. (We recommend to install XBMC)
Step 7: After a few minutes, the jailbreak should be installed.
Step 8: Connect your Apple TV to your television via HDMI, and connect the power cable. Once the system boots up, you’ll must configure your Wi-Fi connection. After the Apple TV Home screen appears you must see the “GF” Gr33nFire logo in the Settings app. If you do, then you’ve successfully jailbroken the Apple TV untethered.
